Concrete Volume Calculator

This Concrete Volume Calculator estimates the volume of concrete needed for various shapes, with adjustable units, wastage percentage, and quantity of elements.

How to Use

  • Select your unit of measurement (Meters or Feet).
  • Choose one shape by checking the corresponding box.
  • Enter the required dimensions for the selected shape.
  • Adjust the wastage percentage and quantity as needed.
  • Click “Calculate” to get the total concrete volume including wastage.
  • Use “Reset” to clear all inputs and start over.

Concrete Volume Calculator

This tool helps you estimate how much concrete you need for your project — whether it’s a slab, column, or circular footing. It works with both meters and feet, so you can pick the unit that suits your measurement system best.

How It Works – Simple Steps

  • First, choose your unit: either meters or feet.
  • Then, select one shape from the options below — Slabs, Columns, or Circular Slabs (like a pipe or ring).
  • Enter the correct measurements for that shape in the selected unit:
    • For slabs: length, width, and thickness (in meters or feet)
    • For columns: diameter and depth (in meters or feet)
    • For circular slabs: outer diameter, inner diameter, and height/length (in meters or feet)

Important: All measurements must be entered in the correct unit.

  • If you’re using meters, input values like “1.5” for 1.5 metres — not centimetres.
  • If you’re using feet, input values like “10” for 10 feet — not inches or any other unit.

There are no “inches” in the inputs — this calculator only accepts meters and feet as units. So if you need to measure something in inches, convert it first: e.g., 12 inches = 1 foot, 6 inches = 0.5 feet.

What You Can Use This For

  • Estimating concrete for patios or driveways
  • Calculating the amount of concrete needed for footings or columns
  • Planning for circular structures like manholes or round towers

The calculator includes a small buffer for errors — so you don’t run short. That’s why we add wastage (usually 10%).

How to Use – Step-by-step Guide

  1. Select your unit: meters or feet.
  2. Pick one shape by ticking the box next to it — only one can be selected at a time.
  3. Type in the correct measurements for that shape (e.g., length, width, thickness) in the chosen unit.
  4. Adjust wastage percentage (default is 10%, but you can change it).
  5. Set how many items you’re making (like 2 columns or 3 slabs).
  6. Click Calculate to see your total volume including waste.
  7. Use Reset if you want to start over and clear all inputs.

Important Notes

  • The tool does not automatically convert measurements — you must enter them in the correct unit.
  • For example, if you’re using feet, input 10 feet as “10” — not inches or centimetres.
  • If you’re using meters, ensure values like “1.5” are used for 1.5 metres, not centimetres.
  • All inputs should be accurate — this ensures the calculation is correct.

Why This Matters

Concrete isn’t always perfect — sometimes you need extra to account for spills or uneven surfaces. Adding waste ensures you don’t run out mid-pour. This tool gives you a realistic idea of how much to buy, so you can plan your delivery and budget right.

Final Tips

  • Always round up the result slightly.
  • If you’re buying concrete, it’s better to overestimate than underestimate.
  • Use this calculator before ordering materials — no one wants to run out mid-project!

Final Output

Total Volume (with wastage):
After entering your measurements and selecting a shape, click Calculate. The result will show the total volume in the selected unit — either cubic meters or cubic feet.

This tool is made for everyday users — builders, homeowners, and DIYers who want quick answers without needing a math degree.

You can copy or paste the volume output into a note or spreadsheet for easy tracking. No registration needed — just use it whenever you need an accurate estimate.
